FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Juna prioritizes purity, consistency, and safety in all of our products to ensure unparalleled pleasure and well-being.

  • How is Juna different from other CBD brands?
Juna embraces a farm-to-table philosophy, emphasizing single-origin hemp and specific vintages in the tradition of fine winemaking. This approach ensures the freshest and most effective product possible and uniquely subtle flavor profiles. We work directly with farmers, chemists, and chefs to keep the full nutrient spectrum and unique terroir of the plants intact, resulting in distinct, subtly delightful physical and mental experiences.

Juna is also unique in that its formulas are dispensed in a microdosing system that allows you to design your own result. See below for more information.

  • What is a targeted dose or microdose?
Less is more. We believe an optimal experience comes from functional, small doses compatible with everyday life. With microdosing, an individual is getting the maximum benefit from the minimum amount, without becoming paranoid, “stoned,” or lethargic. The approach has been known to help people take the mental edge off in social or stressful situations, allowing them to tune in and stimulate and deepen social conversation and creativity.

Cannabinoids are naturally produced by the human body as part of the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The cannabis plant is biphasic and adaptogenic, which means that in small doses it has tremendous therapeutic benefits and in large doses it could be potentially harmful. Low-dose cannabis use may stimulate the body to produce more endogenous cannabinoids on its own.
  • How do I know the right dose for me?
Start low and go slow. If you’re new to CBD, we recommend you begin with a 5mg dose. Daily intake has been known to regulate the ECS and change your tolerance. Patience is the key to discovering your best dose. Tolerance can also be affected day to day by outside influences such as alcohol, food consumption, hormone cycle, sleep, hydration, and environment.
  • CBD, the next superfood
Past stigmas aside, many compounds found in the cannabis plant, such as CBD, are now known to scientists as neuroprotectants and have the potential to increase cognitive function in a developed brain. When our bodies are nourished by phytocannabinoids, we move closer to the internal balance known as homeostasis, benefiting immunity and general well-being. See the glossary below for more information.

  • Can I take CBD products while taking other medication?
We are not authorized to give any medical advice, Please check with your doctor.

  • What is Hemp CBD?
Hemp oil that is naturally rich in CBD and is derived from agricultural hemp and legally must contain less than 0.3% THC so it won't get you high. Hemp CBD is becoming popular because of growing evidence linking it to a long list of health benefits, functionality, and its legal accessibility to be sold in all 50 states.
  • Is Hemp CBD legal?
Yes. It is legal if the full plant extract contains under .3% THC content by weight and comes from hemp that is classified as legal for academic and educational purposes in registered states.
  • Can I purchase Hemp CBD online?
Yes! Our hemp CBD is available to ship in U.S.
  • Hemp vs Cannabis?
In the United States, a cannabis sativa plant is classified either as agricultural hemp or marijuana. The main difference is who regulates it and the THC content. Agricultural hemp naturally contains under 0.3% THC content by weight. Some people prefer hemp-based CBD because it has no psychoactive effects. However, others believe that CBD from a marijuana plant is superior because the THC helps the other actives in plant work in synergy to create a more beneficial effect. See the entourage effect in the glossary below.
Another important difference is that hemp-derived CBD is widely available in almost every state and marijuana-derived CBD is only available through dispensaries in legalized states, making it more difficult to come by./pre>

  • Glossary of terms
    Cannabinoids:
The active chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant that mimic compounds our body naturally produces called endocannabinoids. They bind with our internal receptors to create homeostasis within the body. THC is the most well-known cannabinoid because of its psychoactive effects, while CBD, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis sativa and hemp plant, is gaining popularity for its ability to help regulate mood and hormones, decrease anxiety, reduce inflammation, suppress seizures, and more. There are more 80 identified cannabinoids or accessory compounds found in the plant, such as CBC, CBN, and CBG. Cannabinoids are most effective when working together as a whole-flower or full-spectrum extract, thanks to the entourage effect.

    The entourage effect:
THC, CBD, and the many naturally occurring botanical compounds found in whole-plant cannabis extract interact synergistically to magnify the therapeutic benefits and balance the individual components’ psychotropic attributes. The impact is greater than the sum of its parts.

    Terpenes:
Terpenes are the fragrant compounds that give each cannabis plant and extract its unique aromatic bouquet. Some of them are exactly the same molecules found in well-known essential oils from flowers, fruits, and other plants. Produced by each flower’s resin glands, which also generate THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids, terpenes bind to receptors in the brain and give rise to various physical and mental effects. When present as part of whole-plant cannabis extracts, they contribute to the unique character of each strain or vintage’s experience.

    CBD:
CBD or Cannabidiol has some of the most astonishing health benefits studied. Gaining attention as a powerful antioxidant and neuroprotectant it is also known to help regulate mood and hormones, decrease anxiety, reduce inflammation, suppress seizures, and more. Generally, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis sativa and hemp plant. CBD that is hemp derived contains less than 0.3% THC, has no psychoactivity and will not cause inebriation or inhibit functioning so you can feel confident in going about your routine.

    CO2 extraction:
This is a non-toxic, solvent-free, environmentally friendly, FDA-approved method for the manufacture of food products. Utilizing state-of-the-art processes and equipment, our chemist preserves the cannabinoid composition and medicinal benefits of each harvest of cannabis flowers. The result is a full-spectrum, highly concentrated extract, rich in complementary cannabinoids and terpenes that intensify the plant’s natural physiological and psychoactive effects. Most extractors do not take the additional time and attention to detail to do this and only focus on a high THC percentage extract. While this may be effective for someone who just wants to get “high,” it is not part of what identifies each strain’s experiential effects.

    Adaptogen:
This category of plants is non-toxic herbs that protect the body and its systems from the damages of physical and emotional stress and balance and improve the body’s systems. Though the best-known examples of are the herbs and mushrooms used in traditional eastern medicine, cannabis is an adaptogen, too, thanks to its ability to regulate the human body’s endocannabinoid system — which itself regulates many of the body’s other systems.
